Study supported by the Forest Development Fund (agreement No. 24-00-S0MF01-000002)
The aim of the Study is to develop proposals for improving the biological diversity of forest ecosystems, using the indicators included in the Project of the regulation on nature restoration: the index of common forest bird populations, the amount of dead wood, the proportion of forests of uneven age structure, forest connectivity, organic carbon accumulation, the proportion of forests dominated by autochthonous trees species, and diversity of tree species.
The Study evaluated the results of diversity monitoring, characterized the trends and their possible connection with normative and forestry activities, and prepared proposals for the improvement of forestry in order to promote the progress of the indicators included in the draft regulation on nature restoration and evaluated in this project to a satisfactory level and restoration measures.
