On 5–6 November 2025, the European Mission Soil Week 2025 took place at Aarhus University (Denmark), bringing together a wide range of participants from across Europe.
The event gathered policymakers, researchers, farmers, land managers, financial institution representatives, companies, and philanthropic organizations. Through sessions, exhibitions, and networking activities, the event promoted collaboration, innovation, and the implementation of the "Mission Soil" initiative across Europe.
On the first day, the focus was on strengthening soil health through new business and investment models, highlighting the role of the EU Soil Mission in promoting sustainable land management.
On the second day, 6 November, attention was given to the role of healthy soils in sustainable, multifunctional landscapes, with Denmark showcased as an inspiring example of the green transition.
Austra Zuševica, Research assistant of LSFRI "Silava", participated in the workshop "Innovative Financial Mechanisms for Promoting Soil Health in Forestry", exploring new and creative funding approaches for initiatives that support the improvement and maintenance of healthy soils in forest ecosystems.
Recordings of the sessions are available on the website of Mission Soil Platform.
