Study tasks
Phase I (up to 15 July 2020):
- Analysis of material collected between 15 November 2019 and the start of phase 1 of the 2020 study.
 - Collection of hunted wolf and lynx samples during phase 1 of the study.
 - Processing and analysis of samples collected at sites of damage caused by predators.
 - Comparison of hunting results with previous hunting seasons.
 - Assessment of the effects of the 2019/2020 hunting season on the wolf population by tracking the progress of the number of animals hunted and enforcement of limits.
 - Analysis of the dynamics of individuals under one year of age in the age structure of the population of hunted wolves.
 - Analysis of wolf hunting load-related information and non-invasive distribution data.
 
Phase II (16 July to 15 November 2020):
- Harvesting material from the camped wolves.
 - Processing and analysis of samples collected at sites of damage caused by predators.
 - DNA analyses of samples collected during the 2019/2020 hunting season (300 samples).
 - Assessment of the impact of the 2019/2020 hunting season on the lynx population by tracking the progress of the number of animals hunted and enforcement of limits.
 - Analysis of the dynamics of individuals under one year of age in the age structure of the population of hunted lynx.
 - Analysis of the results of parasitological studies of wolves and lynx.
 - Analysis of the results of studies on wolf and lynx feeding.
 - Analysis of combined data from hunting and non-invasive sample collection methods.
